Science World - 25th Anniversary Photo Album

For:   Science World
With:   Tina Sha (SAP Vancouver)

Problem:
Science World, a non-profit organization who's provincial mandate is to engage all British Columbians in science and to inspire future science & technology thinkers and dreamers, will be celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2014.

Their goal is to create a digital means to connect with all British Columbians in a meaningful way as well as raise money and awareness to their cause.

This project was done in concert with SAP Vancouver as part of the #VANCAN Skilled Volunteerism Challenge.

Solution:
Phase 1
Before beginning any ideation work, we had to verify the feasibility and viability of the "25th Anniversary Photo Album" idea. The current infrastructure at Science World could support further development, so the next phase began.
Throughout this entire process, we acted as a liaison between SAP and Science World.

Phase 2

The idea that was initially presented had the basics down, but we further developed how this system would actually work and the social media ecosystem that it would exist within. From there, we developed static wireframes and roughly prototyped a proposed user workflow to illustrate the functional aspects of the idea.

Phase 3
Since this initiative was part of a larger challenge which required us to pitch the result of the project to a panel of judges, we had to develop pitch materials. I worked alongside Tina Sha to develop these materials (e.g. personal interviews, slide presentations, video assets). We then pitched to a judges panel as well as a crowd of about 150 people.
